What a surprise we had at our first ever 2011 Weiner Race at the Oktoberfest in Old Town Rock Hill. We didn't know what to expect and had 10 dogs registered to race in Saturdays event. Well, instead of 10 dogs prepared to race, we had 34 adorable dogs join in on the fun. What a great group that LOVE their dogs.
First Prize went to Shiloh (white Dachshund) owned by Tonja Pierce (CORRECTED! - Sorry for the error!)
Second Prize went to T.J. owned by Bonnie Hoffman
Third Prize went to Rudi owned by Tammy Gantzu
We also have a prize pending for our little engine who could.....the little black Dachshund Suzie owned by Birgit Hagerman. We'd love to get the basket to you if you could contact us.
Thank you to all for your patience and encouragement for the Humane Society of York County. We greatly appreciate you participation and donations. We made $608 dollars for the animals that evening and wouldn't have been successful without a huge wonderful crowd of true animal lovers. Thank you. And we hope to see you at next years event...bigger and better.
