Hello, Jean and Friends,
FiFi is all settled in her new home, and we love her! She has a pretty little pink baby blanket and a little stuffed pink poodle she sleeps with each night. She has adapted well and is so smart. She easily learned how to navigate our house...including the stairs.
She went to see our vet, Dr. Wilkes, on Monday and was given a clean bill of health. He talked about how healthy and well-cared for she was...all 9.4 pounds :). We told him how well all of you had cared for her and your other animals.
She and Lizzie (our other dog) have an appointment on Tuesday to have their teeth cleaned, and FiFi has an appointment on September 20th with the ophthalmologist to see if she is a candidate for cataract surgery. Dr. Wilkes said her eyes looked very healthy, and the cataracts were not leaking, so we hope that means she will be able to have the surgery.
Please know she has a good home, and we are taking good care of her! I will keep you posted on the progress with eyes.
