HSYC was a proud yet hesitant first time participant in this year's Clear the Shelters event. The day came and went and we are so happy that 22 cats and 16 dogs found their furever homes. Many long term dogs after home visits were placed in their FURever homes and we are so grateful that they are being loved and lounging in a home of their own.
Lessons learned at the HSYC top of the list includes we have THE best staff and volunteers around. It was all hands on deck! Excitement filled the air! Each volunteer was excited, protective and encouraging for a very long day as the shelter was cleared! A great turn out of excited patrons though not everyone left with a furbaby after discussions of the right fit!
The entire day was encouraging and we hope to participate again next year.
