Molly

Just wanted to let you know that Molly has been with us since Sunday and we can’t imagine life without her.  She adjusted quickly to her new home and we’re spoiling her rotten with love and toys.  We bought her a big tower like the one in the cat room there.  She really enjoys playing on it and scratching on it (instead of furniture – phew).  She also used her litter box right away so we have no concerns about that.  She’s been sleeping with us every night and talking up a storm.  She also loves running through the house.  She goes flying up and down the stairs and all over.

Our story…  We had to put our Scrappy to sleep a few weeks ago due to an incurable cancer that was destroying his red and white blood cells and bone marrow.  We would have done anything to save him but the specialists said it was incurable.  We were devastated as you can imagine.  Still makes me cry to think about it.  We didn’t expect to adopt again so soon since we’ll be relocating to our home in Beaufort, SC next month.  However, when our neighbors (Gretchen and Alexa) went in to volunteer and sent me her photo, I knew we had to meet her.  When we came in, she crawled into my husband’s lap and purred.  At that point, he was done.  We sincerely believe (and I know this is sappy) that she was our Valentine gift from the Universe to fill the hole in our hearts.  Couldn’t believe that Valentine’s Day was her birthday, as well.  It was all meant to be.  And, I think Scrappy had his hand in this somehow, as well.  Mysterious ways and all that…I’ll send some photos of Molly in her new home as soon as we get a chance to take a few over the weekend.  In the meantime, I thought you’d enjoy this one of my husband, Rich, and our former cat, Scrappy.  They were very best friends.  You can see how much Molly looks like Scrappy minus the white ring around his neck. Molly has her vet appointment this Friday and we’re hoping for a clean bill of health.  She really is amazing and completes our little family.  We love her so much already.  Thank you for entrusting us with this wonderful furry baby.  She seems very happy and we couldn’t be happier!
